Municipal Art Gallery of Prints – Zitsa

The collection includes about 500 engravings artworks. The engravings date from the second half of the 19th century until today. It is the only Gallery in Greece with a permanent exhibition of engravings by almost 140 artists. Indicative names of artists: Galanis, Kefallinos, Tsarouchis, Chatzikiriakos-Gikas, Desekopoulos, Gourzis etc. The techniques are: Woodcut on upright and oblique wood, Engraving, Lithography, Silkscreen, Stone engraving and Linoleum. The collection also includes sculptures and showcases with engraving tools, as well as luxury books livres de luxe.
